Book Description

This book centers on the development of the “Power-Saving Bug,” a device that won the Energy Conservation Grand Prize and the Energy Conservation Enterprise Association Chairman's Award. Its technology was adopted and sold by NTT-AT Corporation and was featured on NHK's nationwide broadcast.

It covers the necessity of power saving, touching on post-war electricity issues and today's energy situation, and describes the development of a solar-tracking small-scale photovoltaic system as a sustainable power generation solution.

It details the journey of a chemical engineer transitioning to a career outside the original industry through interdisciplinary learning, starting a small business, the joy of long-term business continuity achieved through conscious and regular changes to business focus, and gratitude towards the people who made this possible.

第2版の内容を訂正、加筆し、そして写真と漫画挿入を2025年12月に20年ぶりに完了しました。

A-4サイズで日本語版で約228ページ、英語版で247ページです。400字詰め原稿用紙換算でその3倍、約750ページになります。

出版、配布方法は東京の出版社、NK社と協議の上、決定し、本サイトで告知します。

The second edition was revised and expanded, with photographs and comics inserted, completing the work in December 2025 for the first time in 20 years.

The Japanese edition is approximately 228 pages in A4 size, while the English edition is 247 pages. This equates to about 750 pages when converted to standard 400-character manuscript paper.

Publication and distribution methods will be determined in consultation with Tokyo-based publisher NK Co., Ltd., and announced on this website.
