海外での病気、けがと高額医療費支払いの例　　An example of illness or injury and high medical payments abroad

先々週の英語学習特別例会で取り上げられた話題の一つです。

海外の仕事や旅行では病気やけがの可能性がありますのでその準備と注意が必要です。

ある日本人がアメリカで病気になり、片足を切断、最終的は死亡し、複数の病院から総額で約2億円の医療費請求があった例があり、私が減額交渉しました。

この例の場合、病院から委託された医療費取り立て代理人が来日し遺族及び故人の会社来ました。

関係者からこの件の相談を受けた私を介して一年ほどの彼らとの交渉の結果、治療費を遺族が支払える額に減額することで合意しました。

このような交渉に不可欠なことをキーワードで言えば、誠実、戦○、事実と書〇などですが、何を想像されるでしょうか。
