ギター名器の音色測定と分析 Measuring and Analyzing the Sounds of Legendary Guitars

手工ギター製作家として世界的に有名な櫻井正樹（桜井正毅）氏が永眠されました。

桜井正毅のギターは非の打ち所がなく、弾きやすさと素晴らしい音の響きで知られています。

ギターの名器の音色を計測して再現することの挑戦している関場教授（筑波大学）の新聞記事を読みました。（写真）

素人でも良いギターとそうでないギターの音色は判別できる場合があり、前者は演奏者を弾きたい気持ちにさせてくれます。

なぜ、弾きたくなるのか、そして、聴いている人を感動させることができるのかが分析できれば、名器の復元、再現に道が開けるのでしょう。

ちなみに、バイオリンの名器として有名なのは、ストラディバリウスとグァルネリウスと聞いています。

30年ほど前に仕事で頻繁に訪れていたフィリピンで、当時の副大統領だったラウレル氏が私邸で小さな音楽会を私のために開いて下さった時に彼が弾いていたのがストラディバリウスと聞いて驚いたことを覚えています。（写真）

Masaki Sakurai's guitars are flawless and known for their playability and wonderful sound.

I read a newspaper article about Professor Sekiba of Tsukuba University, who is attempting to measure and reproduce the sounds of a famous guitar (see photo).

Even amateurs can distinguish between the sounds of a good and a bad guitar, and the sound of a good guitar inspires the desire to play it.

Analyzing why this occurs and how it moves listeners could open the door to restoring and reproducing legendary instruments.

As for violins, legendary instruments include Stradivarius and Guarneri models.

About 30 years ago, I was surprised to learn that the violin that the then-Vice President Laurel was playing at a small concert held in my honor at their private residence was a Stradivarius. (Photo)
