数月前にマイクロソフトから無料試用版がリリースされ、大きな話題にもなり、僅か二ヶ月で一億人が使ったと報じられました。

例えば、“間違いを除去して洗練された文章に直す”ように“指示”すれば、入力された文章をその指示に従って直して出力してくれます。

そこで、今回はChat GPT で、私が作って、過日インターネット上にも投稿した英文文章を入力して文章の質と明瞭さを向上させてみました。

出力された文章は原文内容の大切な部分が“勝手に”（？）割愛されていましたので、私は受け入れませんでした。

最終的に出来上がった文章が正しいか否かは依頼者である人間がチェックし、それを受け入れるかどうかも依頼者次第です。

どんなに言語処理AIが発達しても、人間である依頼者の語学力は不可欠であるばかりでなく、より重要になりますが、第三者的な立場で文章を訂正してくれるこの人工知能言語処理ソフトは信頼できるアシスタントとして近い将来、論文や文章訂正作成の主役になるのでしょう。
