食べ物の少ない冬の時期には頻繁に飛来していたメジロのつがいが久しぶりに家の庭に帰ってきました。
窓の外の黄色く色づいたキンカンの実が目に付いたのでしょうか。
キンカンの木と葉の色と同色のために識別しがたいですが、元気そうで何よりでした。
つがいの写真は冬に来ていた時の物です。
A couple of white-eyes, which used to fly in frequently during the winter months when food was scarce, returned to our garden for the first time in a long while.
Perhaps it was the yellow kumquat fruits outside the window that caught their eyes.
They were hard to identify because they have the same color as the kumquat tree and leaves, but I was glad to see they looked healthy.
