オリンピック関連話題、2題　　Two Olympic related topics

「オリンピックのマスコット、メダル獲得ならず。」、「異例のオリンピックで示した競技者の親切心。」が尾道無料英会話道場の8月前半の話題でした。（です。）

前者は8月7日（土）のトピックでしたが、私自身はマスコットの存在は知っていましたが名前までは知りませんでした。メンバーのほとんどがそうでしたが、その理由を考えて、原因を反省する必要があるのかもしれません。

後者は今日、8月12日（木）で担当の司会者によって準備された話題です。紹介されるシーンのすべては記憶にはないでしょうが、気持ちの良いものでしょう。

They are ‘The Olympic mascots aren’t winning any medals.’ And ‘Competitors Show Kindness at Unusual Olympics.’

The former one was used on August 7th (Saturday). I myself knew the existence of those mascots, but not their names. Many of the members didn’t know, either. It may be necessary to identify the reason why and to reflect the causes.

The latter has been prepared for today’s topic on August 12th by the MC of the day. I am afraid I don’t remember all of the scenes, but they must be nice.
