しっぽ切り　Making someone else carry the can

日本でも中国でも政治家のトップにヤバイことが起これば切られるのは末端の役人ばかり。その例は次ぐから次へと事欠きません。
最近の例では日本の場合、安倍首相の森友学園、桜を見る会、参議院選挙など、中国では習近平主席のコロナウィルスに関連した役人切りです。
政治家ってそんなに偉いのかな？　
政治家とは仕事はしてもそれ以上にウソ、悪事を重ねる人、というのが彼らに対する私の定義です。
それにしても2月29日の安倍首相の記者会見での質問記者への不誠実な答え方、内容にはあきれました。

Japan, China and other countries have plenty of stories to tell about sacrificing the weak to save the top leaders of the countries.
As recent examples, in Japan Prime Minister Abe had the scandals about the new school building, the cherry blossom viewing party, the upper house election and others while in China President Xí Jìnpíng fired top leaders of Wuhan regarding Covid-19 turmoil.
Are politicians that great?
My definition of politicians is that they do work but tell lies and repeat wrongdoings more as many works.
At any rate I got disgusted Premier’s insincere attitude and contents toward the questioners at the news conference on February 29th.
