Japan’s evolving Escalator etiquette:
I have long thought that the passengers should stand to one side to allow those in a rush to pass them by and saw many people walking up or down the escalators during my last visit to Tokyo the other day.
At the evening session of Free English Learning Society in Onomichi the day before yesterday we discussed about the safer way of using the escalators in English, which was emceed by a school English teacher who had prepared the talking material.
What would you think about this?
