Various kinds of interpreters

The other day, I listened to the lady with her 30 year-long history as a court interpreter, who has been now a president of a women’s college.
She said that the court interpreters are not tenured, not paid well and the work is much more difficult than conference interpretation or medical or technical ones. The reason for the difficulty is attributed to less understanding to the court interpretation work from the judicially related persons (lawyers, prosecutors and judges) as well as the fact that the foreign languages used in the court are not as simple as translated 1:1 besides the jargon.
The mutual cooperation is absolutely necessary to cope with this problem.
