シジュウカラの子育て2026(4) 、産卵と抱卵 Great Tit Parenting 2026 (4): Egg-Laying and Incubation

桜の花びらが舞う中で、巣箱を設置したハナミズキはその花も膨らんできました。

添付動画 / 写真は3月15日に巣作りを開始したシジュウカラのペアの巣の4月8日時点の様子です。

産卵を終えたメスのシジュウカラは、夕方からはずっと巣の中で眠りながら抱卵しています。日中は時々、数分間食事に出かけますが、オスのシジュウカラが餌を運んでくることもあります。

Amidst the fluttering cherry blossom petals, the dogwood tree where we installed the nest box has begun to bloom.

The attached video shows the nest of a pair of Great Tits that began nest-building on March 15, as of April 8^th.

The female Great Tit, having finished laying her eggs, has been sleeping and incubating them in the nest since the evening. During the day, she occasionally leaves the nest for a few minutes to eat out, though the male Great Tit sometimes brings food to her as well.
