シジュウカラの子育て2026(3) 、巣作り2週間経過 Great Tit Parenting 2026 (3) 2 Weeks into Nest-Building

添付写真は我家のハナミズキの木に設置した巣箱で、3月15日、16日に巣作りを開始したシジュウカラのペアの巣の様子です。一週間で20センチ四方の巣箱の中は約5センチ高の木苔が敷き詰められ、二週間で産卵する場所には羽毛や動物の毛を円状に敷き詰めました。

もうすぐ、産卵が始まるかもしれません。

The attached photo shows a nest box I installed on the dogwood tree in our yard, depicting the nest built by a pair of great tits that began nesting on March 15 and 16. Within a week, the 20-centimeter-square nest box was lined with about 5 centimeters of moss, and within two weeks, the area where the eggs will be laid was lined with feathers and animal hair arranged in a circular pattern.

Egg-laying may begin soon.
