尾道の桜　Cherry blossoms in Onomichi

尾道と近郊、今は昔 (78)、尾道、絵と写真 (21)：

今回は尾道の代表的な風景の一つ、桜土手の満開の桜の絵（）です。

実際の桜は一昨日、高知と岐阜で、昨日17日には名古屋で、それぞれ例年より早くも開花したと報道されています。

このシリーズで紹介する絵は尾道在住で多くの尾道の絵を描いてきた川辺和洋氏の作品で、同氏の許可を得てシリーズでご紹介します。

また、著作権フリーの尾道の写真を尾道観光協会サイトの無料写真素材「おのみちや」から選択してシリーズでご紹介します。

Once upon a time in & around Onomichi (78), Paintings and pictures of Onomichi (21):

This time, I’d like to share a painting of the cherry blossoms in full bloom along Sakura-dote, one of Onomichi’s most iconic sights. The actual cherry blossoms are also in bloom and nearly at their peak.

According to reports, cherry blossoms actually began blooming earlier than usual in Kochi and Gifu the day before yesterday, and in Nagoya yesterday, the 17th.

The works of Kazuhiro Kawabe, who lives in Onomichi and has painted many pictures of Onomichi, are presented in this series with his permission.

In addition, copyright-free images of Onomichi are selected from the Onomichi Tourist Association website's free photo resource 'Onomichiya' and featured in the series.
