シジュウカラの子育て2026(1) 巣作り開始 Great Tit Nesting 2026 (1) Nest Building Begins

我家で3年連続、4回の子育てに利用されている巣箱が今年もシジュウカラのペアに利用されるようです。巣の土台となる木の苔を運び込み始めています。（写真）

今朝の巣箱内の様子（写真）ですが、入口から差し込む光の関係で少し見にくいかもしれません。

順調に行けば、巣作り、産卵、ふ化、子育ての様子を2か月間ほど楽しむことができます。

無事に、新しい命が誕生し、巣立ちますように。

The nest box in our garden, which has been used for nesting four times over the past three years, looks set to be used by a pair of great tits again this year. They have started bringing in moss to form the base of the nest. (Picture)

The 2^nd picture shows the inside of the nest box this morning. It may be a little hard to see due to the light coming in through the nest entrance.

If all goes well, we’ll be able to enjoy watching the nest-building, egg-laying, hatching, and parenting for about two months this year as well.

I hope new lives are born safely and that the chicks will eventually fledge.
