暖かい冬インナー衣類の製造には欠かせない、水分を吸収して発熱する発熱繊維とその商品化のストーリーでした。

冬本番となり、暖かい衣類が欠かせない季節です。

多くの人はヒートテック製品としてユニクロなどの販売店がその生みの親と思っているでしょう。

しかし、その本当の生みの親、世界初の水分吸収発熱繊維を発明したのは、私も勤務していた東洋紡（株）の住谷さんです。

今回の番組を、同じ会社の研究所に勤務していた一人として大変誇らしく、過去も思い出しながら、見ました。

放送番組はコピーガードがかけられ、視聴できる期間も限られていますので、いくつかのポイントを写真と動画で、元東洋紡勤務者、開発研究者の目線で、応援の気持ちを込めて、ダイジェスト編集して保存しました。

This was the story of the development and commercialization of heat-generating fibers that absorb moisture and generate heat—essential for manufacturing warm winter innerwear.

Winter is in full swing, making warm clothing indispensable.

Many people likely think retailers like UNIQLO are the creators of HEATTECH products.

However, the true creator, the inventor of the world's first moisture absorbing heat-generating fiber, was Mr. Sumitani from Toyobo Co., Ltd., where I also worked.

As someone who worked in the same company's research lab, I watched this program with immense pride, reminiscing about the past.

Since broadcast programs have copy protection and limited viewing periods, I preserved key points through photos and videos, edited into a digest the perspective of a former Toyobo employee and development researcher, with heartfelt support.

Due to copyright, I couldn't use “Star on Earth” for music, so I used my own performance of “Moonlight.” The reason is that Mr. Sumitani, the developer, mentioned in an interview that he “saw the light.”
