止まらない物価高 Unrelenting Price Increases

1月24日の私の投稿は「強い日本（円高）にしてほしい。」でした。その意味するところは物価高対策の根本原因の除去です。

しかし、アベノミクスで無責任な円安を経験した日本、国民は、再度、高市政権で同じこと、「円安」、「安い日本」を経験しようとしています。

「責任ある強い財政」という掛け声の元、国債発行額を昨年より倍増、大幅増加した結果、円安になり、物価高を助長しています。

市政権の物価高対策は単なる掛け声、ゼスチャーです。

もっとも、政治家が日常生活の物価高を直接感じることはないでしょうし。

今後、物価高がストップし、国民生活の質が向上することは高市政権では無理でしょう。

一方、国民が自ら物価高で対策としてできることはほとんどありません。

2台所有している車を一台にすることはできても、円安で高騰する食品を使った3食を2食にはできません。

暖房の温度を下げて、衣類を重ね着できても、円安で上昇する電気代金価格はどうにもなりません。

家の小さな修理は自分でするとしても、円安で高騰する材料代を多く使用するリフォームはできません。

The Takaichi administration's inflation countermeasures are mere gestures.

My post on November 24 stated, “I want a strong Japan (a strong yen).” What this means is eliminating the root cause of inflation.

However, Japan and its people, having experienced irresponsible yen depreciation under Abenomics, are now poised to experience the same thing again under the Takaichi administration, which are “yen depreciation” and “cheap Japan”.

Under the slogan of “responsible strong fiscal policy,” the government has doubled last year's bond issuance, significantly increasing prices. This has resulted in yen depreciation, fueling inflation.

In other words, the Takaichi administration's inflation countermeasures are mere slogans, mere gestures.

Of course, politicians probably have not directly been feeling the impact of rising everyday prices.

It seems impossible for the Takaichi administration to halt inflation and improve the quality of life for the people going forward.

Meanwhile, there is little the public can do themselves to counter rising prices.

They might reduce car ownership from two to one, but they cannot cut three meals a day to two due to food prices soaring from the weak yen.

They might lower heating temperatures and layer clothing, but they cannot do anything about electricity bills rising from the weak yen.

They might handle small home repairs themselves, but they cannot undertake renovations requiring significant materials whose costs are skyrocketing due to the weak yen.
