連立の甘い罠と小党消滅 The Sweet Trap of Coalition Politics and the Demise of Small Parties

26年間もの長い間、連立してきた公明党が自民党との連立関係を解消し、次の連立図の可能性について、連日メディアが取り上げています。

今日現在、次の自民党の連立相手は「維新の会」のようです。

公明党はこれまで自民党と連立して消滅していない政党としては唯一の党です。

逆に言えば、自民党は連立時の約束を反故にする政党で、これまでに連立した小さな党を食い物にして生き延びてきた政党です。

次の自民党の餌食になる党はどこでしょうか。ほぼ決まったようですが・・・・・。

For 26 long years, the Komeito party (Clean Government Party)　has been in coalition with the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). Now that Komeito has dissolved this coalition relationship, the media has been covering the possibilities for the next coalition landscape day after day.

As of today, the Liberal Democratic Party's coalition partner appears to be the Japan Innovation Party.

The Komeito Party is the only party that has not disappeared while in coalition with the LDP.

Conversely, the LDP is a party that reneges on coalition agreements, a party that has been surviving by exploiting its coalition partners up to now.

Which party will be the LDP's next prey? It looks the next coalition partner has largely been decided ……….
