孫たちとの時間、2025夏 Time with our grandchildren in summer 2025

先週、21日から25日に5歳（男児）と2歳（女児）の孫たちと久しぶりに過ごしました。

東京駅で彼らの世田谷の祖父母に見送られて、4人で尾道へ。

滞在中は猛暑日の連続でしたが、帝釈峡行き、庭でのプール遊び、渡船乗り、誕生日祝い付きランチ、花火、蝉や虫取りなど楽しく過ごせたようです。

帰途は名古屋に途中下車し交通博物館を訪ね、26日に6日ぶりに元気に無事帰京しました。

私たちは元気の良過ぎる（？）彼らとずっと一緒という訳にはゆきませんでしたが、彼らからエネルギーをもらいましたので、これからも続く猛暑の夏を元気に乗り切りたいです。

Last week, from the 21st to the 25th, we spent time with our five-year-old grandson and two-year-old granddaughter for the first time in a while.

Their grandparents living in Setagaya ward saw them off at Tokyo Station, and the group of four headed to Onomichi.

Despite the continuous heat wave during their stay, they enjoyed a short trip to Taishaku Gorge, swimming in the backyard pool, taking a ferry ride, celebrating the boy's birthday with lunch, watching fireworks, and catching cicadas and other insects.

On their way back, they stopped in Nagoya to visit the Transportation Museum. They returned to their home in Chiba safely and in good health on the 26th after six days.

We couldn't spend all days with them, as they were perhaps a bit too energetic, but we received energy from them. We hope to make it through the rest of the hot summer days with vigor.
