パーク＆（バイク）ライド 3 Park & (Bike) Ride 3

今回もフェリーライドを楽しみました。

新浜桟橋まで小型の電動アシスト・ママチャリを車で運び（約10分）、フェリーで生口島に渡り（約40分）、瀬戸田港から沿岸をゆっくりと東へ往復10キロの短いサイクリングしました。

平山美術館や耕三寺で有名なこの島に船で渡るのは久しぶりでしたが、20年以上も前に私のテレビ番組で取材に応じていただいたジェラートの店、その近くの瀬戸田高校を見ながらのサイクリングでした。

多くの海外からのサイクリストがサイクリングを楽しんでいるこの島ですが、現在は太陽光発電パネルがあちこちに設置されてしまそのものの景観は随分と変化していました。

あいにくの曇り模様でしたが、今回もクルージングと小さなサイクリングの両方を楽しみました。

We enjoyed another ferry ride.

I drove my small, electric-assist mama-machari to the Shinhama Pier (10 minutes), took the ferry to Ikuchijima Island (40 minutes), and cycled a short 10 km round trip slowly eastward along the coast from Setoda Port.

It had been a long time since I last took a boat across to this island, which is famous for the Hirayama Art Museum and the Kosanji Temple. I cycled past the gelato store that I had interviewed for a TV show I hosted over 20 years ago, as well as the nearby Setoda High School.

Many international cyclists enjoy riding on this island, but the scenery of the island itself has changed considerably with the installation of solar panels here and there.

Unfortunately, it was cloudy, but I still enjoyed both cruising and short cycling this time as well.
