パーク&(バイク)ライド 2 Park & (Bike) Ride 2

今回(先週)は短時間のフェリーライドが加わりました。

歌港まで小型の電動アシスト・ママチャリを車で運び(約20分)、フェリーで百島に渡り(約30分)、沿岸をゆっくりとサイクリングしました。このサイクリングは、最近、毎年の行事になっています。

今回も天候に恵まれ、サイクリングの途中で、浜辺で波音を聞きながら昼食を食べ、再度、サイクリングで港に戻りました。往復1時間30分ほどでした。

百島はしまなみ海道の橋とはつながっていませんので、大変静かで、落ち着けます。以前、テレビの仕事で2回取材した旧栽培漁業協会の百島事業所の一つがこの島にあります。

フェリーの港では切符売りをしている同年齢?のご婦人、旧栽培漁業協会・百島事業所(現水産技術研究所・百島庁舎、https://www.fra.go.jp/home/access/momoshima.html)勤務の職員の方々に遭遇して言葉を交わすのも楽しみです。

This time last week, a short ferry ride was added.

I drove my small electric-assisted "mamachari (mommy bike)" to Uta-koh (Uta Port, about 20 minutes), took the ferry to Momo-shima (Momo Island, about 30 minutes), and cycled slowly along the coast of the island. This cycling trip has recently become an annual event for me.

This time I was blessed with good weather again this time, and during the bike ride I had lunch on the beach listening to the sound of the waves, and then cycled back to the harbor. The round trip took about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

As Momoshima is not connected to the Shimanami Kaido bridges, it is very quiet and relaxing island. One of the offices of the Cultivation and Fisheries Association, which I have covered twice before for TV work, is located on this island.

At the ferry port, I also enjoy running into an elderly lady who sells tickets at the ferry port, as well as the staffs of the Cultivation and Fisheries Association (Currently Fisheries Research Institute, Momoshima Government Building, https://www.fra.go.jp/home/access/momoshima.html), and exchange a few words with them.
