木彫りの無線コールサイン　Carved wooden call sign for amateur radio operation

写真は私のアマチュア無線コールサインです。この木彫りコールサインはアマチュア無線を通じて親しくなり、幸運にも1990年代にフィリピンでの仕事も一緒にさせていただいたフィリピンの故チュン弁護士から1983.12.10にプレゼントされたものです。私には大切な物のひとつです。
私の実用英語力の基本は国内でNHKのラジオとテレビで習得したものですが、応用力はアマチュア無線を通じて世界の多くの友人との日常的な会話を通じて培われたました。

The picture shows my call sign for amateur radio operation. This carved wooden call sign was presented by the late Attorney J. G. Chung in the Philippines on December 10, 1983 and one of most important personal belongings of mine. He and I got very friendly thanks to the radio communication and luckily I could work with him in the Philippines in 1990s. 
The basics of my practical English skills were obtained by NHK radio and TV programs in Japan, but the applied skills were acquired through the daily amateur radio contacts with many good friends like Attorney J. G. Chung.
