国際化、スポーツ界 VS 教育界　Internationalization, the sporting world VS the educational world

オリンピックの東京招致が成功した理由の一つはスポーツ界が比較的国際化に順応しているからだろう、と私は思います。その対極にあるのが教育界、大学ではないでしょうか。写真の通り、大学の世界ランキングで日本の大学はトップ100に2大学だけがランクされています（2012-2013年度）。
One of the reason for the successful bid to host the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo may be that the sporting world has been comparatively internationalized. And the educational world, especially colleges and universities in Japan, seems to be antithetical to the sporting world. As the attached picture shows, only two universities in Japan are ranked in top 100 universities all over the world in 2012 – 2013.
