ギターレストの改造　Improvement of the guitar rest

ギターレストはギターの胴体下部分を挟んでつかみ、他方を左足の上に置いて演奏中にギターの位置を固定させる道具です（左の写真）。そして私はこれまで数年このタイプのギターレストを使用しています。しかし、ギターの胴体下部分を強く金属で挟むので、音響的にはよくないという人もいますし、気分的に痛々しいと思うことがありました。そこで、市販品の他の吸着盤型のギターレストを真似して、いままで使用しているものに吸着盤を取り付けてみました（中央の写真）。それをギターに装着（右の写真）しましたが、問題は無いようです。
As the picture at the left shows, the guitar can be fixed while being played with the guitar rest catching hold of the lower part of the guitar body and being put on the left thigh. I have been using this type of guitar rest for a few year up to now. Some people say that grabbing the guitar body tightly with the metal plates may give bad effect on the sound. Furthermore I sometimes felt it painful. Then, learning from another type of the guitar rest, I have placed some suction pads as the picture in the center shows, and fixed it on my guitar (the picture at the right), finding it is OK for the trial use.
