実りの秋（４）、柿　　Ripe persimmon

私たちの庭に実る最も身近な果物です。樹齢が200年ほどのこの柿の木には、この時期には非常に甘く熟した柿がぶら下がり、多くの野鳥も入れ替わりながら飛来して食べていますが、私も時々食べています。
This is the most familiar fruit we can get in our garden. The about 200 year-old tree bears plenty of persimmons, many of which become very soft and sweet this time of the year. Many wild birds come to eat them one after another while I enjoy eating some of them as well.
