イノシシの侵入を防いでいる鉄柵などの物理的方法はよく見かけますが、彼らが嫌う臭いで化学的に撃退する方法が9月27日のNHK広島の地方ニュース番組で紹介されていました。ブタの脂肪を煮詰めた煮汁でした。仲間の死を想像させる？化学的方法の一つでしょうが、物理的な方法よりは優しいのかもしれません。
We often see the physical ways like a wire mesh to fight off the invasion of
the wild boars, but a chemical one was reported on NHK TV on September 27th. They used the boiled liquid of pig fat, whose smell is disliked by the wild boars. The smell may be associated
with their own death. It seems less cruel than the physical ways.
